Jewelry workshop 7.3.2026
Ykkönen is organizing a jewelry workshop for its members on the eve of Women's Day.
The jewelry workshop is a wonderful way to spend time with other members — so come and make yourself a pair of unique earrings that no one else has! Duration approx. 3 hours.
Time: Saturday, 7.3.2026, at 12-16
Location: Tietoranta, Säästöpankinranta 4 C 21, Helsinki
Member price €25 (normally approx. €59)
The price includes light refreshments and a bag of jewelry supplies containing materials for two pairs of earrings and recycled materials such as bicycle inner tubes, leather, beads, and other supplies.
The workshop will be led by Maria Väänänen, who is crazy about bicycle inner tubes! "I have always loved working with my hands and graduated as an art glass artisan in 2015, when I made art glass objects and jewelry from recycled glass. However, I was drawn to the softer material of bicycle inner tubes. Recycled materials and the reuse of existing materials are close to my heart."
Maria will bring scissors, jewelry pliers, and a wide variety of jewelry supplies, which can be purchased separately on site.
If you can, please bring your own scissors, and if you have your own jewelry pliers, broken jewelry, chains, various ribbons (e.g., silk ribbon, etc.), beads, sequins, etc., jewelry and craft supplies, and lots of ideas ☺️.
The event has room for the 20 fastest applicants, with priority given to members who are available for work (employed/unemployed).
Students and pensioners can participate if there are places available. The event will take place if at least 10 people register.
Students/pensioners – if you have registered but are unable to participate after verification, you will be notified by email shortly after the registration deadline.
Binding registrations and free cancellations must be made by 11.2.2026.
If you cancel your participation/fail to show up without an acceptable reason, you may be charged the actual costs of the event, approx. €59/person.
